When you need to copy the addresses and phone numbers of an Organization to a Contact that it's linked to, you can use Bulk Editing. This will copy the information to empty address and phone number fields, so it won't overwrite existing Contact information.
How to copy with Bulk Editing
When you need to copy the addresses and phone numbers of an organization to a Contact it's linked to, you can use Bulk Edit.
This will copy the information to empty address and phone number fields, so it won't overwrite existing Contact information.
- Go to the Contacts tab.
- Tick the check boxes next to the Contacts you'll be updating.
- Click the Bulk Edit icon.
- Choose Copy Phone Numbers from default linked Organization to Contactor Copy Addresses from default linked Organization to Contact.
- Click Save Bulk Edits.
The Contacts with no addresses or phone numbers will be updated with their related Organizations' information. Existing Contact information will not be overwritten.
Multiple Organizations
When you have multiple Organizations attached to a Contact, Insightly will automatically choose the information from your default Organization.
If there is no default Organization filled in, the oldest linked Organization will be chosen.
Creating or editing a Contact
When you are creating or editing a Contact, you also have the option to copy the phone and address details from the linked Organization.
