When you use standards like ISO 9001, your business will operate best when you have ID numbers for your records.
Each record within Insightly is automatically given a reference number that's displayed in the URL and can be displayed in the record itself. You can use this number to search for records, too.
Displaying the Record ID
You can choose whether to display the record ID number on each record or not. Your Insightly administrator can enable this setting from the System Settings > Record ID page.
When the Record ID is enabled, you will see the ID number as a field in each item's details.

You can choose whether to display the record ID number on each record or not. Your Insightly administrator can remove the Record ID field from the Page Layout for each object (Contacts, Organizations, etc.) by editing the layouts and removing the Record ID field.
