Advanced reporting for tasks can be useful for users that need to gather and review task related data. These reports can have filters applied to capture specific information regarding tickets.

Fields and Filters

The Report Fields section displays fields that can be added to the report being viewed. These fields can be dragged and dropped to both the Filters and Parameters section and the report's Preview Grid. The fields displayed in this section are the same fields available when Add a Filter Row is clicked in the Report Filters and Parameters section.

Filters can be applied to reports either by using quick filters or by adding basic filters. When two or more filters are added to a report using both "and"/"or" boolean operators, it's important to understand how the filter logic will be applied to ensure that the report will display the necessary information. 

The following fields can be added to or be used as a filter in task reports: 

  • Assigned By User

  • Assigned To Team

  • Category

  • Completed

  • Completed Due Date Difference

  • Created By User Name

  • Current Pipeline

  • Current Pipeline Stage

  • Date Assigned

  • Date Completed

  • Date Created

  • Date Due

  • Date Linked

  • Date Reminder

  • Details

  • Link Name

  • Link Type

  • Owner Name

  • Percent Complete

  • Priority

  • Recurrence

  • Start Date

  • Status

  • Task Title

  • TaskID

  • User Responsible

  • Linked Items Fields

  • Task Custom Fields

Task Report

The Task Report can be used to review details regarding tasks available in an Insightly account. By default, the report displays the following information: 

Columns

  • Task Title

  • Date Created

  • Due Date

  • Status

  • Percent Complete

Application


I want to see a list of tasks assigned to a specific user.

Add the following filter:

Filter By: User Name

Operator: equal to

Value: Enter the user’s name

The report will display all tasks assigned to the specified user.

I want to see a list of tasks that have a completed status.

Add the following filter:

Filter By: Status

Operator: equal to

Value: COMPLETED

The report will display all tasks with the completed status.

Task Linked Items Report

The Task Linked Items Report can be used to review details regarding tasks and their linked records. By default, the report displays the following information: 

Columns

  • Task Title

  • Link Type

  • Link Name

  • Date Linked

  • Task Date Due

  • Task Status

  • Task Percent Complete

Filters

  • Records by Owner - All Tasks

  • Task Date Created - This Quarter - Start Date - End Date

Summary Fields

  • Task Title

Configuration


I want to see how many tasks were linked today.

Add the following filter:

Filter Clause: Date Linked

Operator: equal to

Value: today

The report will display all tasks that were linked today.

I want to see all contact links.

Add the following filter:

Filter Clause: Link Type

Operator: equal to

Value: Contacts 

The report will display all tasks linked to contacts.

Task Comment Report

The Task Comment Report can be used to review all comments associated with a task. By default, the report displays the following information:

Columns

  • Task ID

  • Task Name

  • Responsible User

  • Comment Owner

  • Comment Body

  • Comment Date Created

Add the following filters:

Filter Clause: Task Comment Author

Operator: 

Value: 

The report will display all task comments written by a specific user.

I want to see all task comments created today.

Add the following filter:

Filter Clause: Task Comment Date Created

Operator: equal to

Value: today

The report will display all task comments created today.
